Commuting

Started a new job 3/20. I travel two hours each way. Sounds pretty awful, but it is really quite nice. The bus picks me up at the end of my driveway, delivers me to the ferry terminal, where I wait for five minutes max to walk on. Once on the ferry I can buy a banana or some coffee and chat with my friends, while we sail through the misty morning. Once I'm in Seattle, I disembark the boat, walk for five minutes and I'm there at work. Really, your commute may be shorter, but can it possibly be as romantic as mine?

I've been able to read entire books on this daily journey, but what's missing is my writing time. I think I'll bring along a notebook and start writing. I need to get going on that best-selling novel. After all, I don't want to do this commute forever, do I?
